NASK starts cooperation with the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland

On Friday, March 7, at the headquarters of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland (UPRP) in Warsaw, a cooperation agreement was signed between NASK and UPRP.

Both institutions aim to collaborate on raising awareness about the domain name registration system and the protection and management of trademarks in Poland. The Patent Office was represented by Aneta Stuleblak, deputy president of UPRP, while the agreement was signed on behalf of NASK by the institute’s director, Radosław Nielek.

The cooperation will include, among other initiatives:

  • The development of a joint guide on trademark and domain name management,
  • The organization of training sessions and workshops for entrepreneurs,
  • The publication of practical information and recommendations on the websites of both institutions regarding domain name registration and the granting of exclusive rights to trademarks in Poland.

The partnership between NASK and UPRP also involves the development of a promotional and informational action plan, as well as mutual consultations on strategic projects and legal regulations.
